Historic Day, Full Bench of Female Justices

For the first time in the history of the High Court of Maldives a bench comprising only female Justices has been constituted. Justice Fathimath Farheeza, Justice Huzaifa Mohamed and Justice Dheebanaz Fahmy were members of the bench. Justice Huzaifa Mohamed, is the longest-serving of the justices, serving since 2007. Prior to being appointed to High Court, Justice Huzaifa served as a Family Court judge.

The case heard by the bench of female Justices, was Mohamed Zaki & Others Vs The Mauritius Commercial Bank (Maldives) Pvt Ltd (2020/HC-A/210,211,212)
